The bee population decline has been well documented. A recent study by PNAS goes into detail about the extent of decline and the largest causes. On Meta Science and News, Chelsea Cavanaugh outlines nicely the results from this study. It turns out more than anything else, the decline can be mitigated most by maintenance of habitats for wild bees. The study covered the years 2008-2013 and found a 23% decrease in population that corresponded with a decline in natural habitat for these pollinators. Check out the whole article below!
