Our next class is coming up, and we have some really neat plans in store.
We can’t wait for you to meet Clifford Meng, grower of unusual and sometimes otherworldly bonsai cactus and succulents. We visited his backyard growing grounds and knew we had to introduce him to you. Clifford will be bringing a wide variety of plants to show and to sell. He and Bill Hagblom, a succulent bonsai specialist, will be ready to answer your questions and inspire you to introduce succulents into your garden.
On display will be our fabulous doghouse with a succulent roof. We think it is about the cutest thing we’ve seen and gives the term “dog’s life” a whole new perspective. Yes, we wanted to move in ourselves.
We’ll have a surprise take-home project for you to create so bring your gloves and be prepared for funny Clifford stories and just plain fun. And we don’t mind if you wear your Halloween costume.
Sign up now, through the Community Services Department (949/493-5911) of the City of San Juan Capistrano, as space is limited.
The class will take place on October 31, 2009 (yep, that’s Halloween) from 9:00 am to Noon.
