Lose the lawn — or at least reduce it!

The rainy season is the BEST time to plant California natives and lose or reduce your lawn. We will show you practical ways to reduce costly maintenance of water-thirsty gardens in exchange for natural drought-tolerant gardens.

Class includes hands-on demonstration of three lawn removal techniques along with plant selection, placement and planting of native and drought-tolerant plants. Water conservation tips for the garden and selection of thirty bullet-proof plants for lawn replacement will be discussed. DIY “Lose the Lawn” handbook included.

Be sure to join us in the garden on Saturday, February 20, 2010 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Register with the City of San Juan Capistrano at (949) 493-5911 or via email.
