Cover Crops, a Farming Revolution With Deep Roots in the Past

Here on the blog, we've talked about cover crops a couple times already.  Those discussions have usually been in the context of your personal plot of land.  But what works on a small backyard plot can often be extrapolated to a larger example.  In this case, field of study is the large-scale agriculture business.  Stephanie Strom over at the New York Times recently looked at the revolution taking place within the US Agriculture business.  Moving away from pesticides and toward cover crops is starting to show some real benefits for yield and wallet for some farmers.  Check out what's happening in the article at the jump!
