Creating a Thriving City Garden
Los Rios Garden Angels
Volunteer at the Los Rios Park with the Garden Angels. Make new friends, get connected, learn about gardening while you volunteer.
Since the Los Rios park opened in 2009, the Garden Angels volunteers have given thousands of hours maintaining the CA Native landscape while saving taxpayer dollars. We’ve incorporated the CUSD Adult Transition Workability program, helping students gain life and employment skills while maintaining the gardens.

Certified Butterfly Garden
Goin Native established Los Rios Park as a Certified Butterfly Garden with the North American Butterfly Association. When you certify your butterfly garden with NABA you have demonstrated your commitment to promoting a habitat for butterflies as well as other pollinators.
If you would like to have your own certified butterfly garden, you can go to NABA’s website to make sure you meet all the requirements and fill out the application online.
